BHI purchased Foster Wheeler HRSG technology in 2020. Foster Wheeler and has a rich history dating back to 1891 with the Wheeler Condenser and Engineering Company located in Carteret, New Jersey, USA.
In the 1900’s, Foster Wheeler had several successful business lines including fired heaters, refinery distilling towers, steam condensers and superheaters and economizers for steam generators. During the 1950’s, Foster Wheeler developed its membrane wall panel construction and acquired the MB pulverizer technology which later evolved into the current MBF pulverizer. Foster Wheeler sold its first subcritical once through steam generator in 1964 to the Morgan Creek Station. The unit capacities increased in the United States eclipsing 1000 MW in capacity for a single Unit. In 1993, Foster Wheeler commissioned the first coal fired SCR systems in the United States. After 2000, Foster Wheeler recognized that having strategic license partners in key markets would promote the use of Foster Wheeler technology.

HRSG Access Doors
The Valmet Furnace Visible Imaging System is a robust, air-cooled camera system providing high-definition imaging analysis of combustion process monitoring of kilns, boilers, furnaces and much more. The system is also well suited for monitoring flame/burner applications.
Engineered for durability and longevity, the system provides a low maintenance solution to many complex process challenges. Digital-only data transmission improves reliability of video streams and filters out noise or better image quality. The system can also be equipped for wireless connectivity, allowing operators to monitor combustion from a tablet while on the go.
Heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) in combined cycle plants make essential contributions to power generation plants’ overall efficiency. However, being large metal structures that are exposed to broad temperature fluctuations, HRSGs must have proactive attention for consistent reliability. At SVI Industrial, we are aware of the challenges that power plants face in maintaining efficient operations. We strive to make repairs, upgrades, and replacements quickly and reliably to minimize plant downtime.
